Make Nine 2021
Last year I didn't commit to any make nine plans which was probably a good thing looking at how the year turned out! But, back in January, in an attempt to give my sewjo a kick up the bum I made some plans for this year, I also thought it might help me get back onto the blogging again. I can't help but feel I've cheated a little as I bought half of these patterns in the Black Friday sales and have already got the fabrics for them too, but at least I know I have plans for my purchases!
So here they are...
From left to right, top to bottom we have:
- Style Arc Blaire shirt dress
- Tilly and the Buttons Ness skirt
- Pattern Emporium Songbird Duster
- Chalk & Notch Fringe Dress
- Sew House 7 Free Range Slacks
- Honse Design Two Man Gang sweater
- Sew House 7 Wildwood Wrap Dress
- Deer & Doe Plantain Tee
- Simplicity 8554 coat
I've made the Blaire shirt a couple of times but never the dress so I'm looking forward to trying that variation when I can find the perfect fabric. I've also made the Fringe top but not the full dress. I've got a couple of possible fabrics for this and I think it will be a great one for the summer. The rest I've never made before. Four of them were Black Friday purchases and one was bought in the January sales.
I think there is a good range of garments here and I'm looking forward to pairing them together. I've already got plans for the Ness skirt to go with a Plantain with the Songbird Duster.
I'd like to make the Wildwood Wrap dress fairly soon as I think it could be a good one for layering in the cooler months.
I'm a few threads off finishing my Two Man Gang sweater so there might be a more in depth blog post on that very soon!
So lets start ticking off those makes!!!
